CEO Alexandro Agag's Interview

  J'ai eu l'honneur d'interviewer Alexandro Agag,  le CEO (Chief Executive Officer) du futur Championnat de Formule Electrique. Un homme charismatique et passionné par son travail.

 Good evening Alexandro Agag, first of all thank you so much to give us a part of your time for an interview. Today you are the FIA Formula E Championship's CEO, but we want to know what is your background?

 My background is that i am an economist, so i have studied the economy in Spain, at the same time i started doing very actively politics. I was in the younger organisation "Partido popular" which is the Centre Right party. And after university and next 10 years i worked in politic. I did differrent things in politic. I was member of Parliement and member of the European Parliement, and i was in the government.


Brilliant, thank you, now the big question, what is Formula E Championship?

 Formula E Championship is a new racing competititon, featuring electric power cars. It has to be the test step for new technologies that will have the develpoment of electric cars. And also to change the mind of the people about electric cars, to convince them that they should buy an electric car. That is a good option for the daily life.

Ok, why the Formula E Championship will make the difference in the motorsport ?

 We think it will make a kind of more revolution in motorsport, because it will come with a completely different angle. First of all it's a completely different technology, within technologies which will provide the future, we don't know if it will be the battery, fuel cells, supercapacitors or any others storages mecanism for energy, but electric motors will power the car of the futur.

 So this technology makes it very different and revolutionary in the way. We think it will play the role of a catalyst to move to a more clean mobility society.

Do we have the opportunity to watch it on television or others?

 Yes absolutely it will be on televisions all around the world. We have different contracts with Fox sports in the Us an South America and others countries, ITV in  the UK, Tv Asahi in Japan. And with other broadcasters that we will announce very soon.


Thank you, to conclude, What is the best moment of your carreer?

 The best moment of my carreer is when i signed the Formula E Championship contract with the FIA's CEO Jean TODT. It was really the beginning of  the project. And hopefully that moment will be then replace by the start of the first race in Beijing. That sould be the best moment.
